To commemorate the birthday of his mother, Joel (our founder) had a party at his home one summer evening. The brand-new patio set that his father had gifted for her birthday was impatiently awaiting assembly. The patio furniture was in excellent condition.
It was tranquil for a moment before his small nephew spilled pickle all over one of the pillows. After the incident, Joel’s mother Cynthia used every washing technique possible to remove stains, but all went in vain. When they walked into the store where they had originally made their purchase for the solution, the cashier explained that they could sell the entire set of pillows, however they were unable to sell a single cushion.
She turned the cushion that was set to be tossed aside into the most treasured cushion till date by using her creativity and the remaining fabrics.
When Joel realized how difficult it is to purchase a single cushion, he was inspired by his mother’s zeal and inventiveness to launch Kraft Cushions in their garage.
